Gates that can be used to implemented any gates like AND, OR, or NOT or any combination of these basic gates,,, are called Universal Gates :-)
eg: NAND and NOR
A) NAND Gate
1. A NAND gate (negated AND or NOT AND) is a logic gate which produces an output that is false only if all its inputs are true.
2. The NAND gate is significant because any boolean function can be implemented just by using a combination of NAND gates.

1. A NOR gate (negated OR or NOT OR) is a logic gate which produces a HIGH output results if both the inputs to the gate are LOW (or vice versa )
